ARTWORK  by  Ch'Lu

Raised between Buckinghamshire and Bucharest, Ch'Lu (Camilla Mathias) has always had a bohemian lifestyle interlaced with language, drama and music. Reflecting this in her work, she captures and “cubes” her subject matter, creating buoyant portraits and energised images that are the ultimate design feature or personalised gift. Specialising in stylised portrait commissions, Ch'Lu’s artwork also adapts to commercial illustration and concept art.

Past commissions have included British Actors’ Equity International Committee for Artist’s Freedom (ICAF), Equity's 75th Anniversary Stained Glass Window design at The Royal Mechanics’ Institute, and a series of paintings globally for HSBC. Ch'Lu exhibits her work worldwide; it has been seen in Central London's Mall Galleries and Underground Tube Stations, Barcelona's arty Born district, Dublin's music venue The Social and Zurich's iconic Karussell Gallery.
